Logically, People are far less likely ot commit crimes if there is a chance that they will die for doing so. Most of the people on death row have commit absolutely atrocious crimes and they deserve nothing less than death even if they are sorry they did it. Society can not can go on peacefully if violent criminals are not punished. This is the rough truth.
